So i told an online friend that they had inspired my “comeback blog” since i havent blogged in forever. Well I am going to still write the blog that they inspired but it will be a few days b/c right now i’d rather write about this.
A few years back I had to go to seminar on communication. It was all about effective communications in the workplace and in your social life and all that good jazz. One of those things you get forced to go to but really dont wanna be there so you arent sure just how much you are going to pay attention.
Well believe it or not I actually learned something. The speaker (and i wish i remembered her name) touched on a very interesting subject. She talked about how everyone feels loved differently and everyone shows love differently. And if you are in a relationship and you aren’t able to communicate sometimes one person can feel like they are showing the other person all the love in the world – but if that’s not how the other person feels loved then the relationship isnt going to work. Unless you talk about it.
Lets say Joey buys his girlfriend stuff ALL the time. Always sending her flowers, always showing up with jewelry or some other token of affection. Unfortunately while Joey’s girlfriend Alice appreciates all of this, it isn’t want makes her feel loved. What makes her feel loved is when he comes home and spends time with her. Yeah sure the gifts are great but to Alice she would rather be able to spend more time with her man than just the things he buys her. See how this could be a problem?
The reason I am thinking about this now is b/c I think I have finally figured out what it takes for me to feel loved. I need to be touched. I need my man to want to hold my hand while we walk down the street, to give me hugs and snuggle with me. It’s that physical contact and that willingness to show that physical contact that really makes me feel loved and secure.
I think it’s very interesting to think about how we all feel loved differently and how we all show our love differently. Even though I like to be touched and thats how i feel love, it isnt always how i show love. Usually I show love by spending time with someone or buying gifts. Thats just how i am. Isnt that strange how the two would be different?
How do you feel loved? How do you show your love? And how do you communicate with your partner that the way they are showing love isnt working for you?
If you look around you will see i made a few more changes tonight… i really dont have anything to say in my blog other than i made changes. I really want to write something every day so this is today… haha.

Hey everyone. Welcome to my new wordpress blog… Okay it’s not new it’s been sitting here for months waiting for me to do something with it.
I went through all my old blogs from my blogger site and deleted those that didnt need shared anymore and imported everything else over. So what you see before this post is old… everything else will be new.
I am really hoping to take this blog seriously and post close to daily. really hoping.

p.s. i find it REALLY funny that the spell check on wordpress and blogger does not recognize “blog” as a word….

as much as i luuuuuuuuuuuuuuv hip-hop, rap and other genres closely related i also really love “hippie music.” it reminds me of my parents, reminds me of growing up and all that memory lane stuff. Anyway… yeah my parents were hippies. i love it.
so on one of our recent beautiful weekends i found myself laying on the back porch looking at the sky… it was actually cool enough i did it two weekends in a row. Unfortunately the weekend i caught a flick of it there were no small clouds in the sky… it was even better when there were small clouds in the sky. anyway so yeah… it was pretty relaxing and enjoyable…
you might think you know everything there is to know about me, but you don’t. you dont know my family history, you dont know my history, you don’t know everything about me.
so regardless of what you think about how much of a spoiled brat i am i dont care. my response to you is i am blessed. i am blessed to have a family that loves me. i am blessed to have family that has the means to help me. i am blessed to have a family that is willing to help me. i am blessed to have my family.
if you have a problem with the way i live my life, if you have a problem with the fact i stay with my parents, or with the fact that my mom helps me with my bills, or anything else that you have a problem with relating to my being spoiled, or me in general…. that’s your problem, not mine.
This song always makes me miss a certain person… saw his people this weekend and they helped calm me down and was makin sure i was okay in my stupid wasted want to fight mood… they are some good people so yeah…. so ya’ll remember when i posted videos for that dude F. Stokes and told ya i had gone to his concert and all that jazz? well he is having another concert here in Madison on April 9th at the Annex. It’s an 18+ show which sucks for those of us over 21 but is great for those of you under.
